eFoto is a regional Hamburg project in cooperation with the University of Hamburg
and the cultural administration of the city. In this project, HITeC develops mobile APPs
for presenting
historical photographs and other cultural objects to citizens and tourists of Hamburg.
The APPs provide interactive maps, guided city tours, as well as community features such as
facilities for recording interviews of contemporary witnesses. The data is managed
through a cloud-based back-end infrastructure which is filled through cultural institutions.
