PC3K Service Manual

Hi,

some of the original list's members might remember Adam Roman's
announcement to scan the service manual for the pc3k.  Well, it is now
finally online, at
ftp://kogs.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/pub/utcke/pc3k/ 

There you can find:

* ftp://kogs.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/pub/utcke/pc3k/pc3ksm.pdf.gz
  This 43MB (!) file contains the entire service-manual as a series of
  high-resolution bitmaps.  Only use with a sufficiently fast
  connection --- this would take approximately two hours with a modem!

* ftp://kogs.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/pub/utcke/pc3k/pc3ksm??.png
  Low resolution versions of the individual pages in Portable Network
  Graphic format.

* ftp://kogs.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/pub/utcke/pc3k/pc3ksms.pdf
  All the png-files put into one pdf-file.

If anybody has the time and opportunity to convert one or more pages
to text (using OCR, or, of course, just plain typing :-) I am sure
this would be more than welcome.  Please contact me so that I can
synchronise all such efforts.  We could then provide people with a
higher-quality pdf-file (created, e.g., using LaTeX --- unless we find
somebody who would manage this using Word) as well as an html-version.
