Fw: Q Stacker2

Hi List!,

Taking the path of least resistance, I am forwarding (copied below) an
edited version of my correspondence between me and Sven re the Stacker files
on a software ftp link on his website. In a nutshell, the Stacker2 files
does not seem complete enough to run and seems to be missing a required file
"STACVOL.COM". Although it seems that I may have located a version 3 of
that file, I have not yet tried that combination yet to see if it works.
The version 3 seems to be specially designed for PC cards (!!) and it's
reference link is mentioned below.

I wanted help to get a copy of the full version of Stacker2 along with it's
manual if possible. Working with different types of disk compression
programs that I own, SuperStor v1.03G, SuperStor Pro v2.0, MS-DblSpace I
find the manual will have information that will make quite a difference in
its operation. Can anyone help me out?

Also, while I do have your ear, I would like to request help in an off-topic
software request that I've been searching for a very, very long time. It is
OBMax for the Omnibook300. Little by little I am learning more about OBMax
and how it does its magic. Apparently only through OBMax is the Omnibook300
allowed to bypass its firmware boot operations and the inherent limitations
and gain over 600K of conventional RAM (!!) Normally, it leaves you with
only 458,064 -a big difference! Without OBMax, I've been able to achieve
only 506,400. Quite nice, more than what other tinkerers have posted -but
no 600K... :( This seems to be another extremely rare piece o'
software. It is very interesting finding out from systems with OBMax
installed, via their config.sys, that there is an unconfig.exe that can
apparently unload previously loaded firmware tsrs and release their RAM.
There doesn't seem to be another generic program like it in
shareware/freeware utilities. Please inform me if you know of any, -please.
Can anyone on this list help me with this off-topic request?
