In theory, yes.  However, when dealing with CF (or anything else
inserted into the PCMCIA-slot which is not SRAM) we need to use the
two programs sdisk.exe and sformat.exe (to the best of my knowledge).
These are from 1992 or before, and I somehow doubt that Sundisk or DIP
(whoever wrote this software) bothered to code any precautions in case
a CF-card with more than 32MB would be inserted --- after all, this
was originally written for cards up to 10MB.  However, I still haven't
tried this, so I might be wrong.
