Re: [Sharp-pc3k] Getting to grips with my new gadget.

Hi Will, Mark & all at pc3k!

Re your problems:

1) The actual contact for the top of the battery is not on the cover itself but is a small metal clip sticking out from the side of the battery "hole" in the actual PC3K. I vaguely recall a little addendum note with my unit that said something along the lines of "ensure that the contact is not caught under the battery when you close the lid". So, have a look for that little metal clip, and make sure the battery makes contact from the side rather than the bottom.

2) To be honest I've *never* got my SRAM card to be recognised by anything other than the PC3K. I remember seeing discussion on this mailing list re this in the past but didn't really keep up with it so am not sure what others have found. It's only since I got my compact-flash adaptor and started using compact-flash cards that I've found I can use the same media on my PC3K *and* other machines.

Cheers,
Chris
